My name is David and I am a Senior Data Scientist with a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, working on applied Machine Learning projects in industry. 

I studied Computer Science and later completed a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence. During that time, I joined the LIDIA research group at the University of A Coruña, where I started my research work. I continued this path with a Ph.D. in Computing, which I finished in early 2024, focusing on Anomaly Detection and its application to areas such as Predictive Maintenance, Natural Language Processing, Edge Computing, and Federated Learning.

In March 2024, I joined SDG Group as a Data Scientist. Since then, my work has progressively shifted from a mainly research-oriented focus to building end-to-end data science solutions. This has involved working with cloud platforms, data pipelines, and deployment processes, as well as taking care of aspects such as infrastructure and the operational side of Machine Learning projects.

While my role has evolved from academic research to applied data science in industry, I continue to actively use and develop the skills acquired during my research years. Alongside my project work, I supervise Master’s theses, mentor junior profiles, and contribute to value proposals based on recent advances in the Machine Learning field.
